Installation Completed by the Fox Team in Sheffield for Assix Construction

A fantastic Saturday installation completed by the Fox team in Sheffield for Assix Construction.

This project involved the removal of an existing leaf-and-a-half steel door and the installation of a new leaf-and-a-half steel door complete with an over-panel glazed infill. The new entrance provides improved security, durability, and a brighter appearance thanks to the additional natural light provided by the glazed panel.

As with many refurbishment projects, there were a few challenges to overcome. To achieve the required clear opening width while working within the existing structural opening, we incorporated a 180-degree hinge arrangement to the half leaf, allowing the door set to maximise the available access width when fully opened.
The completed installation has transformed the entrance, providing a modern, secure, and practical solution while maintaining excellent accessibility for the end user.
